New CD To Be Released Later This Year!

For the past year, Barbara and the band have been in and out of the studio working diligently on their new CD! They have chosen some of their favorite country, gospel, light and classic rock songs for this project, and the CD will offer listeners a sample of the exciting music that Barbara and the band bring to the stage every time they perform live.

This being the Silver Eagle Band's first time in the studio, it has proven to be a learning experience. As Barbara Lynn explains, "Recording has a way of strengthening your talents and disciplining your musical sound, and this group has grown extensively during this first project." This project is also quite unique in the fact that the current Silver Eagle lineup is made up entirely of family members so, it's also a very special personal tribute to their music.

Make sure you don't miss this CD! It will no doubt be one of your favorites. And remember to catch Barbara Lynn and the Silver Eagle Band live where they will make you feel as if you are part of their family circle!

Relay For Life Show

Join Barbara Lynn & the Silver Eagle Band as they perform their live show on Friday, June 12th at the Wetzel County "Relay For Life Walk" in New Martinsville, WV.

This walk is an opportunity for the American Cancer Society to raise money to provide hope and help to those who have had their lives touched by cancer. Barbara has been both a supporter and performer at the walk for the past three years, and she strongly urges everyone to attend their local "Relay For Life Walk" this year, "You will be amazed and moved to see the inspiring efforts at these events. This walk gives us all a chance to fight this disease!"

See you there!

Happy New Year!

Happy new year to all of you! 2009 is shaping up to look very promising. We already have performances scheduled and it's only January!

Our booth as WV Fairs and Festivals Convention

We really enjoyed attending the West Virginia Fairs and Festivals Convention in Charleston, West Virginia on January 16th and 17th! It was good to see so many of our friends returning for this special event. We were pleased and proud to win next year's Associate Membership Dues Award at the Associate Members Meeting, and we had several compliments on our booth decorations. After our performance in the little theater at the Civic Center, there were many inquiries about our show throughout the weekend.

The past year was a busy and productive year for all of us. We played West Virginia fairs and festivals such as the Richie County Fair in Harrisville, and the Tyler County Fair in Middlebourne. The Tyler County Fair is our home county fair and we were really excited to play it again. Many of our friends, family and fans were there to support us. It definitely was a fun night!

This year we will be performing for a worthy cause. The American Cancer Society has asked us to present our show for the Wetzel County Relay For Life Event. We are looking forward to working with them to further this effort.

Later this year we will be going into the studio to record our first CD. This will be a project we have all wanted to work on for quite some time. It should prove to be an exciting experience!

Well, that's all for now! We hope to see you this year at a fair or festival near you!
